Richard Hartrum, current owner, has been preserving the century-long family painting legacy since 2014. He has significantly advanced Hartrum Painting and Wallcovering with unmatched skill, integrity, and dedication while mentoring the next generation in craftsmanship and tradition.
Our family legacy in the painting and finishing trades spans over a century. It began with Sylvester Raftery, my great-great-grandfather and the first painter in our family. His son, L.M. Raftery, my great-grandfather, went on to serve as the General President of the Painter’s Union, setting a strong foundation of leadership and craftsmanship. My grandfather, Richard Hartrum, continued the tradition as a skilled glazer within the same union.
In 1985, my father, Keith Hartrum, founded Hartrum Painting and Wallcovering, establishing a company built on quality and trust. After his passing in 2014, I, Richard Hartrum, proudly carried the family tradition forward. In 2018, I relocated the business to Sweetwater, Texas, where we continue to honor our heritage by delivering exceptional painting and wallcovering services rooted in integrity, skill, and dedication.
